The Scena 5m product is an advanced satellite PVR-ready High Definition receiver. It supports multi formats of Audio and Video and provides rich connectivity options with other devices such as USB storage drives, MP3 players and home PC. It makes a perfect multimedia home player allowing playback of movies in wide range of formats such as MPEG4, MPEG2, as well as music (MP3) and photos (JPEG).

The product supports one Common Interface slot and one smart card reader slot for optional embedded Conax CA system and offers a comprehensive range of audio and video interfaces such as SCART, component video, composite video, stereo audio, digital audio outputs and HDMI.

The product is designed to meet the new strict European regulations on power consumption and incorporates a ‘deep standby’ circuitry that reduces power consumption to less than 1W during standby mode.

Software updates are routinely released over satellite (ASTRA 19.2ºE) or in our website support section,  for update through the USB port.

For the German-speaking markets, the product is prepared to support the upcoming HD+ service through software update and use of an official HD+ CI CAM intended for legacy receivers.
